Severe tornadoes struck towns just south of Oklahoma City on Monday, leaving 24 dead and many more injured. The scene was one of total destruction with an EF4 twister blowing up to 200 mile gusts. The tornado, which was over a mile in diameter, left a 20 mile long swath of destruction. Structures were leveled, including Plaza Towers Elementary where children were taking shelter.
